Podcasts are one of the most powerful means of modern online communication today - they are free audio shows available on the Internet for downloading to a computer, tablet or mobile device, typically available as a series, where new installments are sent to subscribers automatically. You can listen to podcasts directly from a website, or you can use a podcast player available on your Iphone or Android devices.
At their best, podcasts are opportunities for longer-form communication based on the human word, allowing us to dive deeper into an important topic, consider it from multiple angles, listen to experts, and to be entertained at the same time. Instead of 15-second sound bites from TV talking heads, a podcast allows you time to understand a topic at a much greater depth, listening to them on your drive into work, doing work around the house, or during some quite time alone with yourself.
Our Rising Faith ministry is greatly blessed to have access to many wonderful podcasts about our Catholic Christian faith, our culture, and other areas of focus important to our faith journey.
